Beach Volleyball

Last night we were invited to substitute on a beach volleyball team that plays games at the local beach bar.  Yes you heard that right, best of both worlds, being able to drink while participating in a physical activity.  Any feelings of guilt from not working out, can be thrown out the window during the volleyball game while you are enjoying a refreshing beer from the bar.  The place is unique because it does not have a dress code (like other bars/clubs in the area) and its on a beach cmon!  The thought of it being on a beach takes away from some of the pain from the conviently overpriced drinks at 8 dollars for bottled beer and 13 dollars for a mixed drink.  Not to mention, one of the top figureheads of Dubai owns the bar, no wonder they are so rich...

We are going to join the team as a new season starts in a few weeks.  I did learn something, that I need to bring a spare shirt with me and a bucket of ice for all of the games!

      Haha! I am an athlete! I would say we both played very well last night! I'm definately better than the other girls on the team! We played against this one tool that hiked his shorts up so far that it looked like he was wearing a speedo! He had no shirt on and was so interested in what he looked like. Not to mention, once the game started the team had a strategy where they just got the ball to that kid and then he would spike the hell out of it to our side! I was there to play volleyball, not leave with a broken nose! He definately took the game way to seriouslyy, as our players were all drinking beer while playing. It will definately be fun to play every week though!

    I think he might have been in the pro volleyball league in Russia. We are not as good as him, but Kait told him she was proud to be an American!
